The Wired Monk Coffee Bistro

This place just recently opened in Abbotsford and I am glad I discovered it because it's a really great place to meet up with friends. The Wired Monk Coffee Bistro has varieties of desserts, lunch items and different coffee drinks. The atmosphere is nice and casual - the couches are cozy and great to relax on. It is located in the new condo section of McCallum. After hearing Wired Monk Coffee Bistro started recently carrying High Crow Bakery's gluten free products, I decided to check this place out. On offer were lemon vanilla cake, chocolate fudge cake, banana loaf, chocolate chip cookies, peanut butter cookies and few others, all gluten free of course. I picked up some chocolate cake which tasted like it should--rich, chocolatey, but divine. This is definitely a place I'd come to for dessert. I met my friend for coffee here the other day and grabbed a banana loaf bread. You can probably tell from the picture, it looks very much like a normal banana loaf and I must say it tastes the same as well. It was very soft and delicious. All of the items are fairly pricey, or standard as far as gluten free products go, but I'm willing to pay more for something that tastes like the real thing. I want to add that this place has really great service and they do their best to ensure you enjoy your break from your day. It truly is a great place to catch up with friends and try out some great tasting gluten free baked goods.
